Soulmates, psychics, connections and astrology - who believes?

Hi all

I am just exploring my beliefs in terms of all of this, and having just learned to read astrology charts (after having believed it was bollocks) I was startled by how accurate they can be in terms of describing a persons nature.

Does anyone also believe in karmic connections / soul mates /twin flames / destiny and all sorts of things contributing to attractions and things between people?

And as for psychics, I have to say, again, I am on the fence about this.

Is it silly to believe in all this mumbo jumbo, or do you think there is so much about our experience as human beings that we don't yet understand?

I believe in universal consciousness (which is what 'God' is to me)

I don't believe in astrology. I'm good at cold reading so no, I don't believe in psychic ability.

I absolutely believe in a spiritual realm. But I think it can be dangerous to mess with the occult and is best avoided. And astrology is harassing energy from the occult. My daughter has a gift of discernment. She had visions of the attacks in Paris about a year before it happened. But something is showing her these things and it is not God. So I'm trying to steer her in a direction which will give her protection.

it's no more or less valid or proven than 'standard' religion. But the latter has one advantage - it doesn't cost to enter!

what accurate astrology chart did you find? I'm a cynical non-believer with no interest in girly stuff. Does everyone born on the same date share this?

Both. While I think all the beliefs you've mentioned are patent nonsense I KNOW there is much left to understand. Are you suggesting we believe any old toffee we want until we know the facts? I'd find that deeply unsatisfactory.

So why can I buy a Ouija board on Amazon? Why is it illegal to drive without a seatbelt but no legislation preventing the purchasing of such occultist items? Why aren't the NHS running a campaign to ban them them due to the numbers of people in A&E having being injured after opening a portal to the 'other side'?

I was startled by how accurate they can be in terms of describing a persons nature. I used to do this for fun, its so easy. Google cold reading.

Sorry it not supernatural, at best its a magicians skit at worst its a con artists scam.
