Inclusive Advent

Friends of mine have developed Inclusive Advent, an online advent calendar considering how churches can be made more inclusive and raising awareness of ways in which people may feel excluded from church.

Today's 'window' reflects on infertility and pregnancy loss and they asked if I might share it on Mumsnet, which I'm thusly doing. Having recently experienced miscarriage myself, I think today's contributor has got it spot-on and I say that in spite of being atheist. The calendar has also been mentioned on BBC's Ouch! podcast, so it's well worth a look through the previous days too.

Thank you for sharing this. The Inclusive Advent idea looks very thought provoking, and very well done. I just had a fairly quick look now, but look forward to reading in more detail later.
I have been blessed with a child myself, but have close friends struggling with the grief of their infertility, and find the reminder to pray for them (which I feel I should do, daily, but the business of life intercedes) really important.

How lovely that they even include atheists. Normally such a miserable bunch.
Heartwarming.

Thanks for sharing commander. This popped up on my Facebook newsfeed at the start of advent and I kept forgetting to read it. Thanks for the reminder :)
