I feel silly asking this, but could we be jinxed?

basically every time we go to a certain palce in the country somethign bad happens, or so peter believe.

things like car being stolen (before we even get there, so no link in my eyes)

car crash when we were there a few years later

i went there last summer and p-eter had a funny fit thing.

so he is convinced the place is cursed or something. i say not. been invite4d to go there next weekend, he doesnt want me to go, i say he is being silly.

Every time we went to Durdle Door when I was growing up, someone died there (strangers - suicide/body washing up)... 3 times! Shock

Have been since as a grown up, so think it was probably just bad coincidence. Maybe its the same for you?

I would be wary though Blush.

Doubt that you would fully relax if you went this time misdee.

You will spend the whole visit waiting for something to go wrong. Peter will be on edge if he already feels like that, waiting to hear from you, thinking something has happened.

Oh - and for good measure it will rain. So it had better not be Blackpool because I'm going there next weekend Wink

Phew Smile

I doubt very much that you are jinxed, just more aware of anything going wrong when you are there because it happened the first time.

If Peter is taking it seriously though, make sure he isn't likely to get too wound up about you going.

And you could do with the break.

How about telling Peter you have spoken to a witch (who better to banish curses) and she is going to put a banishing spell on the caravan so that you will be ok. Do you think he would go for that?

I can do a spell if you want me to.

Or else just tell him that the combined wisdom of MN is that there is no such thing as curses/jinxes and you would be daft to miss a free break. Tell him you have had 250+ replies or something Smile

I could soon make you a travellers charm to carry with you, no problem.

If it is just Peter worrying that is holding you back from taking the break then we need to find something to keep him happy.

If you want me to send you a charm to show him, just drop me a line with your address. It really would be a shame for you to miss out on a chance of a weekend away.
