Attending a RC Church in a different parish

DS1 has just joined a Beavers group that is linked to a RC church a couple of miles from where we live in a different borough. I chose the group over groups in our borough as it takes place on a day that i don't work and as i don't drive we can get a bus there directly. We've just returned from the Remembrance Day Service which the Beavers participated in and DS1 has asked whether we can go regularly. My query is whether this will be ok.

I was baptised RC but was not brought up with any faith although i consider myself a Christian. I have often considered going to church and DS1's enthusiasm has sparked a new interest. Would it be ok for us attend this church or would it be more appropriate for us to go to our parish church which is a similar distance away? I have never attended our parish church as it is not easy for us to get to. It would be a 40 minutes plus walk or a ten minute walk and two bus journeys.

Talk to the Priest if you are worried, but TBH, if the distance is similar I'd chose the one where you have a connection and your DS is happy

As long as you are going to Mass you are fine, so don't worry.

It doesn't matter where you go.

Yes, agree with others; we go to a church 30 miles away because it's near where I usually work, and nobody objects.

You can go wherever you choose. I go to three different churches depending on what time I can get to mass.

Why would it not be ok??? It's up to you where you choose to go, be it church, mosque or temple.

I am Catholic, but used to take DS to a Christingle in the local CofE church, as it was a lovely, short service.
