Quick question... how much difference is there between the Old Testament and the Torah. (Hebrew Bible) ?

thanks WW

Sort of. The Torah is just the first 5 books of the Old Testament (the Pentateuch). They do use the whole OT but that is the Tanakh. However, having said that some do use the term 'Torah' to refer to the whole of the Old Testament.

Thanks WF - so if I read the first five chapters of the OT then that's like reading the Torah - or are the translations v different?

TIA

They shouldn't be. It's just that one is in Hebrew and one is in English.
