Our cat is 8 months old. She hasnt been spayed yet as she doesnt often go out of the house unsupervised. We will be getting her done quite soon but in the mean time how do we know when she is in season.?

Her vulva may be swollen and she may lick at it or try to rub it along the floor. She will "call", a really weird noise which can sound like she is in pain, and may do a lot of rolling around on the floor as she calls. She could come into season any time now, it's usually in the first spring/early summer after a cat is six months old.

she'll crawl along the floor with her bum in the air, making strange noises.
it'll probably start happening really soon.cats are normally spayed after 6 months and that will stop it and it'll be far more comfortable for her.
