I have just cleaned out their hutch and they seem to wee more in the bit with the full door, which is also where their bed is, than anywhere else.

Mine wee in their sleeping bit too - girls and boys. Its always more dirty/wet than the open bit when I clean them out.

i suppose they are doubly incontinent and cannot help it

I am having a problem with my rabbits doing this.

Well it is supposed to be possible to get them to sue a tray...might be worth a try! I always have a saturated hutch floor and have to let it dry out while they are in the run.

My mum told me to put an oven tray or a cat litter tray in the bottom, to make it easier.

I have put an old baking tray in there tonight...will see how it goes.

...and yes our piggies do it too, I meant the tray thing for them as well - housetrained piggies! I've seen it talked about somewhere.

I bought them a really big bendy tube to play in but they use it as a toilet as well.

I saw a litter tray today, considering getting it.

I use a thick layer of newspaper on the bottom of the rabbit hutch to stop the floor getting too wet. Makes cleaning out easier too.

Oh, and I'm just about to order a bench cover to adapt as a hutch cover. I'll put it on back to front IYSWIM, and cut a flap for ventilation, and insulate it with an old blanket and newspaper.

Yes, I already use loads of newspaper but it takes about 2 days and it is saturated. There are three bunnies in the same hutch - small, but prolific! And they are in the run for 6+ hours every day.

They don't half wee a lot.

mine tend to do it in the corners more than anywhere else, so if their sleeping areas are not in the corners , they don't wee there.

When we first got them they seemed to wee around the food bowl as well which I thought kind of
not however actually in it though, they did always leave a few hard doodles in there - but not anymore. I think it might be an age thing and they get a bit more continent as they get a big bigger.

Also re the poos ,no w they are bigger and don't actually get into the food bowl in order to eat from it. They used to sit right inside it. Now they stand outside and just put their heads in.
