There are two types of mange, sarcoptic mange (also known as fox mange) and demodectic mange which is the type that most commonly affects puppies.
If your pup has skin issues that you suspect are either of the above you need to go to the vet and get some appropriate treatment for it. If it is not mange, then the vet can hopefully advise you too - either way if the pup is not right it should be seen.

I'd be inclined to speak to the RSPCA about the breeder too. If its sarcoptic mange it is highly contagious and if any other dogs have come into contact with the pups, especially the poor mum, they too are at risk.

I've rarely seen mange in pet dogs which are established in a home, most often I've come across it with pound dogs with possible other conditions/poor immune systems/neglect issues. I may be making too much of a fuss but better safe than sorry for any other dog's sake.

The RSPCA aren't wonderful but sadly they're all we really have and at the very least should be able to advise and reassure you although of course you are quite right to make your vet the first port of call.

Wishing all of these poorly pups a full and speedy recovery. .

If its round the eyes it sounds more like the deodemctic mange, its hereditary isnt it?
