title of thread self explantry really... have just had my seven month old cat sat on me and have just noticed some wee orange sores on her one under her chin and a couple on her legs, she doesn't go out at all so theres no way she's been in a fight with the neighborhood cats... I will be taking her to the vets but just wondered if anyone elses kitty has had this??

It could be an allergy of some type. Have you got many house plants?

Sounds like exactly what my mums cat gets every summer because she is allergic to harvest mites (but she goes outside)

no plants but she has a massive fasination with the fresh flowers I always put by my front door and is forever laying with them (when I don't see her) lol

Maybe a flea allergy, has she been done yet? or had her jabs?

shes had her jabs and had fleas big time when we first got her as she was a farrel and born on a farm but we cleared it up a while ago

and I haven't noticed any fleas and we noticed them straight away last time.... I can't understand as the house is clean constantly (with dd2 having asthma) and with her not going out and no where near other cats or animals I just can't understand

does anyone who has cats regularly come over to you? fleas could come into the house that way.
sounds like more of an allergy though-maybe ezcema.we had a cat years ago that had very bed ezcema and she had lots of orange/red patches everywhere which bleed alot.is she bleeding and scratching alot?

My cat had a flea allergy and the sores were caused, not by the fleas themselves, but by his abrasive tongue licking & licking at the itches. He only really got sore where he could lick (along his spine mainly) so if your kitty has them under her chin then flea allergy might be unlikely (or is it in a place she can get to ?). The sores were exactly like a graze you get when you fall over - flat, red, scabby when dry, yellow/orange when fresh.
