We have 3 cats already, and DS (20mo) and DC2 due in December.
I feel we have space both emotionally and physically (big 3 bed semi with huge garden, cat flap, utility room for the cats etc) for another cat.
As we have 3 cats already (1 male, 2 female, 2 are 9, one is 3) I feel a young male would probably be best (the male is a complete soppy and not at all territorial).
The question is, should we?
Would it be unfair to our current cats to throw another one in the mix? They're pretty settled at the moment, but I'm aware that things will chance come December.
I just get near-constant feelings of guilt that there is essentially a space for a cat in our home that is going begging when there are so many unwanted cats out there at the moment.
I feel like I know it's a bit of a foolish thing to do, but when we took in the last cat (she would have been put down otherwise) it was silly to do it, but she was one of the best things to happen to us.
