my cat went missing last night, my mom left the top window open thinking she could'nt jump that fari did't know cause the curtains were closed.
She hasn't come back i've only had her two weeks, thats why i kept her in and she was/is due for mircochipping and spayed next week, shes 2 years old beautiful cat.
i've phoned all the vets, rspca, pdsa, pet search, have been out looking for her and going again tonight. i'm so upset and distraught. i'm with my mom as i told her NOT to leave windows, doors open etc

Don't know what else to do any ideas??

sorry to hear this, hope she shows up soon

leaflets/posters everywhere? knock on all your neighbour's doors and beg them to check sheds/garages (she could be stuck in there) - any unoccupied properties she could be hiding in?

good luck, keep us posted

I lost one of mine once for over a week - contacted the local paper and they ran a story and printed a picture. I got loads and loads of calls - some wierd, some helpful but dead ends, but also a confirmed sighting not very far away - owner gave me permission to go into her back garden while she was at work and he was there.

If she doesn't know the area, she may be hiding quite close by, or she may be in season and off to find a tom, in which case she may slink back with a smile on her face.

Leave tasty food outside and, if you can, leave a door open as late into the evening as possible - cats tend to be about at dusk and dawn so if she is scared somewhere, she may come back when streets are quieter.

Did she come from somewhere local - could she have gone back to an old home ?

We lost ours a few weeks ago. I put posters up everywhere and knocked on lots of doors - it worked, because 5 days after he went missing someone found him and called, having seen a poster.

Also call vets with a description in case she's been found. I hope you find her soon.

We had a cat escape from a window at my parents house whilst we were away - like yours did not know the area - we knocked on doors and asked as local vet said that he would be within just a few hundred yards and so should concentrate locally - it took a week before someone came and told us they thought he was in a local garden - old lady kindly let us in and he was there - so agree with knocking on doors and be prepared to wait a while.....dont give up hope yet

i hope that tonight she might come back, i will leave food out for her as she's loves her food, it's a good 12 miles from where she comes from, all the vets i have contacted, rspca and pet search.

it's great to hear that you found your cats gives me some hope.

Try not to worry too much - it's early days yet. 2 weeks is plenty of time to know where home is.

I once had a cat escape the same day I got him and he came back!

I'll keep everything crossed for you...

really?? that's great to hear
hope so.
someone might of took her in and fed her(i hope) but i would love her to come home, but if not then i hope nothing has happened to her. still no sign at the vets, no replys from the adverts, and no reports from the council, so hoping thats a good sign and she is safe.

thankyou bella for your concern and reasurance

Mine once went missing for 7 hours and I was beside myself so I understand totally your worry.

Have you walked the streets calling for her?

Checked under cars, in sheds or garages, etc?
