Urgent advice needed on outdooor Guinea pig hutch

Today we bought 3 female GP's and an indoor cage which we plan on using as an interim measure whilst we choose a suitable outdoor hutch and to use in the conservatory in the winter (unheated and uninsulated but hopefully will protect them from the elements).

We need to order a GP hutch ASAP. We didn't get a hutch from PAH as they looked very poor quality. It needs to accomodate 3 GP's. Our next door neighbour has a cat and we get squirrels in our garden (not sure if this is an issue) and I have seen a fox in our garden so want something very secure. Also, I'd like a hutch which is easy to clean. We can keep the hutch on concrete or on the lawn. Please, please can anyone suggest any suitable hutches?

Where abouts in the country are you?

I;d suggest going to a garden centre/ pet shop and having a good look at hutches avaliable. Make sure it is sturdy and has a decent sized fully covered area. GP's like to snuggle up in the dark/warm at night!

We got a really good quality hutch on Ebay for a fraction of the price of ones I'd seen in other places. You might be able to find one you could collect locally to you.

I did see quite a few hutches which had pull out plastic lined bottom sections for easier cleaing although ours doesn't have this and is still really easy to keep clean.

Thanks!

Do you think this one is big enough for 3 GP's if I get a separate run? www.bitsforpets.com/product_info.php?cPath=47_160_161&products_id=6

Hi - yes, I think that hutch is fine. We have 3 GPs with a similar size hutch and run under. We too, keep it on concrete and move it to the lawn every now and then. Couldn't keep them indoors though - they poo so much and stink!!! I managed to pick one up on Ebay though and fortunately was v local so we could go around to pick it up.
