i need someone to look after a cat for about 3 weeks (end of july into August) in north london.

eventually to rehome permanently.

but catteries are too expensive. neighbours are away.
not a demanding cat, just feed and let roam.

is there another option i could explore?

Is something like this an option?

why is cat being rehomed?

Is it a people cat or completely aloof?

We could be interested.

Hi Kittyhouse, I use the local vet nurses for my cats when we are away....they aren't that much cheaper than a cattery though and I do as often as I can take advantage of my very helpful neighbours. Another option you could think about is if there are any teenagers you trust on your street, they will often do a good job of feeding a cat while you're away and you can negotiate a price with them.

If the cat is to be rehomed anyway why don't you contact the cats protection society, they have an office in Archway if you are near there....or you could put a pic in your local vets...hope you get it sorted out ok..

problem is, most cat sitters, will cat sit in your home.
i need kitty looked after elsewhere.

(shame i dont know more neighbours, but the ones we do know are away for part of the time. grr)

she's friendly with a few close people, aloof with others.
loves being outdoors.
mainly a one to one cat, doesnt like to be around a lot of people.
will run away from small children.

she's nuetered (if thats the right word).
eats dry cat food.
poos outside.
but we have a litter tray in case of emergencies (which are very rare).

Have you tried doggies and moggies or moggies and doggies (can't remember which way around)? Tis a cat sitting service. 20 mins visit per day includes feeding and fussing(if pet likes being fussed)
