There is an injection for dogs, but am not aware of one for cats (though I could very easily be wrong...)

Most vets will spay (neuter) a cat early on in a pregnancy though.

Best idea is to call your vet tomorrow.

well i was due to get her spayed the end of the month that was earliest appointment but yesterday i left the back door open and she got out before i relised normally im really quick off the mark!!! yeh mayb i shouldnt say morning after pill

are you certain she's been at it?

a litter of kittens is not the end of the world though and you can always get her speyed once the kittens are weaned.

well i heard fighting last night and their was another cat running off, dont get me wrong i adore cats but shes to young shes not even a year old yet there is to many unspayed cats and un wanted kittens i really wanted to get her done

Nah, mistakes happen to everyone. The reason you have not let anyone down is your responsible attitude to sorting the problem rather than just going "Ah well, kittens are cute" or some other insanity.

If she is up to 4 weeks most vets will still spay her and PDSA will definitely, yoi have to get some housing or council tax benefit to register wilt them for treatment but not sure about spaying.

There are too many unwanted kittens around.

Friends cat got pregnant before one then had two more litters quickly (she's not even two yet) the last litter had loads of birth defects and all died vet said it was cos she was too young and her body couldn't cope. when she got spayed four weeks later she was preg again

how do most people manage?

My cat had her babies 10 weeks ago and has got out a few times due to windows being open due to the hot weather. We think she is pregnant again.

My vet said that she couldn't be spayed until the kittens were fully weaned and the mummy had fed the kittens for at least a week, ideally 2.

She is still giving the kittens a feed every once in a while so couldn't be spayed yet.

Do i really have to spend the whole summer with no doors or windows open?

Paula, yes! It is only a few weeks, you can keep her shut in the dining room/utility whilst you air the hous etc but you have to keep them in until they are spayed!

I'm not advocating letting moggies breed indiscriminately, neutering is definitely the way to go. But I just think if it were me I couldn't face speying my cat knowing that unborn kittens were going to be killed in the process and would wait until after kittens were weaned to do it.

i know its one thing after another, i was panicking incase their wasnt anything that could be done for my cat we only have another just under a month to go before shes spayed and we had done well up till now so i was really gutted id let her down and that she was going to have kittens then those kittens would have kittens then those would have un wanted kittens etc.... think my pets are sending me mental
