My lovely girl died sometime during the night. I found her next day lying in the field. No sign of any struggle, the grass around her was undisturbed. She just seems to have collapsed, so I can only hope it was painless and quick. She was feisty enough the night before to be chasing her companion away from her her dinner bucket.RIP Cleo you will be missed.

Thanks everyone. Masala. She was 26, but our vet thought she might have been as old as 30, and was in relatively good health for her age, all things considered. She is very much missed, but she had a good life. So I have to try to take heart from that.
