I don't think you're meant to leave puppies on their own for long at all definitely not 7 hours. People shouldn't get puppies if they're going to be left alone for long periods of time from what I've read.

Difficult. My neighbour also leaves his dog alone in the garden, often well into the evening and even overnight a couple of times (has done this since it was a puppy). It used to bark and cry almost constantly but less now, I suppose it is resigned to its fate.

It's pretty horrid but my feeling is that this would not be seen as a priority for the RSPCA. I'm not sure how long it would have to be left before it was classed as abandonment.

knock on their door and tell them it's bugging you! and you can see if they're home

then be nosy

can you get in the garden? at least to move it's water nearer

Puppy's are not ment to be left for longer than 4hrs max i was told this by the RSPCA.

Small puppies do cry, and they do it a lot during the first days in their new home. Mine did for days even being with us in the bedroom. I would just mention to the owner what is going on, she may have not realised that puppy is that upset.

But as for ringing the RSPCA, etc, I think that you are jumping to conclusions too soon. I would let the RSPCA alone so they can cope with more important calls.

Well i think maybe you should make someone aware so they could give her some water, i could not personlly leave her all night, how old do you think she is?
