My dog gave birth 7 weeks ago. And I wanna know do I still have to separate my two house dogs. She isn’t showing signs of being in heat (bleeding or swelling) but my male dog looks to be trying to bump her (wrongly I may add) but I don’t want her to get pregnant again cause the last one wasn’t planned as she was 11 months when she gave birth. Mind you the 2 puppies are great and they both survived. But I’m sure you can understand why I don’t want it to happen again especially so soon. Can any one help me as to what I should do.

You should be getting them spayed/neutered so unplanned pregnancies will be avoided

Get the male neutered as soon as the vet can fit him in, and the female spayed as soon as possible after the puppies are weaned. Keep them separated until at least one has been done.
