hello , Its been 10 days ,my kaattu is missing and i cant find her. We have moved here on 10th july and after 3 weeks on 29th july a window was left open at night and she went outside.
even before she did but came within hours . i have become a dead person and cant think of anything . she has a 1 month old baby and i dont know where she is, my baby. she is a real baby and easily gets afraid. though she had no problem in our last house as she knew the area very well where she is born there but it is really very far more than 2000 km . everyone must be thinking that i am crazy but i call her everytime asking every stranger on the street each and every neighbour but nothing. we were going to vet to spay her and now i dont know what to expect.

Oh I feel for you. Have you contacted the local vets to see if anyone has found her? Posters on trees? Have you knocked on neighbours doors and asked?
I do hope you find her soon. Sorry I can’t be of more help.

It's awful when this happens. One of my cats went missing for almost a week - we found her hiding in the garage (which we'd obviously searched early on) - she must have been somewhere else and then come back.

Can you print some notices off and display them in your local area? Are you on Facebook, or know someone who is who could post in a local group? Have you tried nearby vets?

A tip I have seen is to put the cat's litter tray outside so the scent will carry if your cat is in the area.

Don't give up hope - keep looking. She may be shut in somewhere, especially at this time of year when people are on holiday - and cats can last an amazing length of time in that situation, they are survivors, so don't stop asking people to check their sheds and outbuildings.

i have asked all the neighbour and i go out immediately whenever someone say they have seen her. no i wont lose hope never . some are saying she just ran ran away since there is a dog of our landlord but i know thats not the case. i dont want to think of the worst scenerio or otherwise i will not survive a single moment. i have told all the children in the area and has shown photos of her to everyone. i call her everyday and has spread her litter everywhere twice. but the problem is rain ,the day she went out ,it rained very heavily that afternoon and i just hope she is safe and will come home. i have started to pray to god too which i had stopped doing before.

The rain is a good thing because it means she won't be short of water, wherever she is. It sounds like you are doing all the right things - telling the children is a great idea because they will be out and about during the day. I do hope she comes back to you soon. Flowers

Oh you poor thing FlowersFlowers
As others have said, keep going with the posters, not just in your neighbourhood but a bit further out as well.
I have heard so so many stories of cats reappearing even weeks later, so don’t give up hope. I appreciate that your kitty is very young. Don’t give up hope!

You sound like a trip to the doctors might be needed to get some medication to help manage your anxiety around the situation. Don't hurt yourself ! Get some help and support . Ring the Samaritans if you are worried you might harm yourself. Really hope you find your cat soon ! X

I remember reading to empty your vacuum outside, maybe just the dust.

crazyforkaattu · 09/08/2019 17:35

@JustbeaDentist i will be sure to do that . I just want a miracle. If only i find my cat , i have promised to help all the stray animals on the street. Please everyone pray for her.

Cats can come home after many weeks. Hold tight and maybe check in with your Dr for the anxiety.

But hold tight.

Have you posted on FB? Contacted all the local vets and shelters to ask them to keep an eye out?

Posters up locally too just to make sure everyone is aware.

Im sure it will be your cat, she is probably scared and too frightened to come out to you. Some smelly food might help, and if shes really scared you can buy or borrow a humane trap to catch her. She has probably come into season and been looking for a tom. Once you get her back I'd get her spayed straight away to avoid a litter of kittens. Microchipping is a good idea too and gives a much better chance of being reunited if she wanders again in future.

Still no sign of her. Went to church and prayed so many times. I just hope she comes back safely. Everyone is saying she ran away but i believe her more than i believe in myself . She is not like that and i can bet that on my life that she is waiting for me. She is a real idiot and waits for me all the time instead of searching for home, but i don't know where she is.

If you heard a miaow when you shouted then I would go back there and try calling again, take food and treats with you.
