Anyone used Borrow My Doggy?

Hi
I work part time shifts as a nurse and hubby works from home one day a week. This means our Labrador is rarely left. On those rare occasions where he has we have used a doggy daycare lady who sadly has now moved away. I am wondering whether this new Borrow My Doggy business is worth a look-in? There's a premium for borrowers and a larger one (almost £50 annually) for those loaning out their dogs. This works on the premise that people who love dogs but aren't able to own one for whatever reason are able to register (get background checks) and help out those whose dogs might enjoy extra time for play etc. My daughter is up in arms in horror saying it is downright weird and not to use it. Anyone out there with knowledge or experience of this service? I'd be intrigued to find out.

I haven't used it (intended to but one of my dogs is a rescue and not happy with people other than me and DH!).

I do know a few people that do use it though. My niece walks other peoples dogs and quite often has them for a weekend or occasionally longer. She can't have a dog because of her working hours so it's ideal for her. She loves it and has looked after quite a variety of different dogs plus some regulars.

A friend uses it mainly for walks for her dog but occasionally a sitter if she wants to go out for a good few hours. She really likes it too.

I really wanted to use it as I think it's a brilliant idea

My sister has looked after and walked an adorable Jack Russell through Borrow my Doggy, as she (my sister) loved dogs but isn’t home enough to have one of her own. She loves it!

I paid to meet borrowers who would take my dog to their house for the day while I work. In 9 months they have only put me in touch with one suitable person and I cannot log in to my account, which is taking a long time to fix.

We use Tailster for our dog- we only need occasional day care and walks and it’s not always the same day and time and Tailster was the only company I could find that we were able to meet the carers, and book on an ad hoc basis so we just let her know when we need her
Also they don’t charge the pet owners for anything, all you pay is what the cater charges and they are very reasonable

A friend of mine does it, because she can't be bothered to walk her dog as much as he needs.
