Cat lovers need advice!

Long story short my Mum is rescuing a Mother cat and her litter of 3 kittens tomorrow from a horrible family who have been reported the the rspca several times so these poor cats haven't had a good time of it! Anyway hopefully it will be a happy ending for them from tomorrow! The kittens are 4 weeks old so still nursing, I'm just worried that with the mum coming to a new environment (my mum has set up a quiet room for them in her house) the cat will be stressed and then not feed her kittens or abandon them. Is this likely to happen? Will they be ok if she stops feeding them for a short time while she adapts? My mum will obviously put food and goats milk out for them all but I'm not sure the kittens are old enough to know how to feed from anything other than their mum? Any advice would be gratefully received :)

You might get more responses on The Litter Tray section.
Poor cats. Your mum has the right idea with the safe room. It might be worth a call to Cats Protection or a local vet for advice if she is concerned. It may even be worth a vet visit if she is worried they have been neglected/mistreated.
I have no idea what age kittens start on solids but that info would be on the Cats Protection website.

@Vinorosso74 thank you for your response. We have them now and they've all settled in well and seem to be well all things considering. But my mum is going to contact the vet to get them all checked.
