cat fleas on humans for last 8 weeks no pets

Seriously, I've tried everything. Indorex spray, washing hoovering daily.
All the alternative stuff online, vinegar, lemon etc.
I looked after 2 cats while their owner on holiday and got their fleas. Poor cats but now can't get rid on clothes and hair.
I've thrown away clothes as too much trouble and exhausting.
I now have to shower twice daily as I start itching and discover dirt marks from poo on legs. I've used head lice shampoo, did help but still got the problem. It's enough to drive you insane, but for my faith I think I would have lost it long ago.
Oh and I've just go scabies cream for body to see if that will do it/
The vet suggested soapy water for hair but tried it.
My GP uninterested as out of their depth no experience.
Any help would be appreciated here.

Get a cat and flea treat it so the fleas will die when they jump on it instead of you?
