Hi all. I bought a puppy a while back and after I had her home alarm bells started ringing about the truthfulness of her parents tests mainly FN and PRA. I therefore had her tested myself. Thankfully the FN came back as clear, but the PRA test came back as carrier, which I know doesn't matter unless you intend to breed as I know carrier means they won't develop the disease themselves. The question I wish to ask however is, what I the difference between the option 1 and option 2 DNA tests of PRA on Laboklin (I can't find where it states the difference, other than price). I went for option 2 ( the dearer one) as at the time I thought that would be more extensive and cover it all, but am I wrong in assuming this? I was relieved that she was only a carrier when I got the results but am now worried in case the option 1 is to test for a different type of PRA ( excuse my ignorance). Does anyone know whether I'd need to do the option 1 as well to fully exclude her getting the disease, or does option 2 include all forms. Thank you all in advance. X
