Pet carrier services - any recommendations?

Hi - my first post, so waving hello Smile
We’ll be moving house sometime in the new year, from Wiltshire to the Manchester area, and this will be the first time we won’t be moving our cats ourselves. Our two mogs are rescues and have some awful experiences in their recent past so we’re really concerned to find a good carrier for their long road journey.
Please, does anyone have experience of using a pet travel service to move their animals? We’d really appreciate a few recommendations, or warnings if appropriate, by PM I think is best rather than open forum, please. We haven’t even found The House yet although we’ve sold and are living in rented, so should have enough time to get this right.
Any tips would really be welcome. Thank you!

Can I ask why you aren't moving them yourself?
With regard to transport services, I used these guys to fly my cats to the ME and they were fab. I can't imagine their domestic services are any different.

It's the logistics. We're getting on in years, both disabled now and will have to break our journey several times. The cats are nervous travellers and we'd rather hand them over to a dedicated service for their own safety as well as our ears. Thank you for the link, that didn't come up in a Duck Duck Go search, looks good.
