Cat not pooping outside

Hi,

My cat is about 6/7 years old now, I've had her since she was 2 and she has been trained to go to the toilet outside and usually does. However, she doesn't seem to be going out much and twice in the last week she has pooped in the bathtub despite being taken outside several times. I even made sure the bathroom was shut but as soon as she had the opportunity she pooped.

Why is she doing this, could it be a health problem? How can I get her to a) start going outside more b) stop pooping in the bathroom?

Thanks

Use a litter tray maybe. At least then it is in one place and more sociable for wherever she has been going.

Sorry, I realise that this is a week old, but I had a cat that did this when she was unwell. Bless her, it was obviously the closest thing to a litter tray that she could find. Is there any chance she's feeling unwell? Are they normal stools?

The alternative is that something outside is upsetting her. Cats are really choosy about where they poop, and if there's a rival cat close by or something unusual spooking her she'll want to poo in the safest place she knows. I'd give her a litter tray for now and see how she gets on.
