Help! sitting room smelling distinctly rural

Poor ancient d dog had the runs last night. Most went on a tiled area in kitchen bless her, but some went on carpet. Ive cleaned it up but the smell pervades. What will get rid of it? Sprinkled it with sodium bicarbonate as vague memory that that helps. But it's done nothing.

Smells, like I said, very rural....
