My dog is one and everyone keeps telling me that he's an adolescent now. I think he'll be an adult when he's two.
We had him done just before his first birthday as he did suddenly reach a certain level of sexual maturity.

Between 12 and 18 months I seem to recall. They just start testing the discipline a bit. Nothing too rowdy!

Depends on the dog. Some behave like big puppies for longer than others

Our dog is 5 and she's still as daft as a brush. She's abit slower than she once was but is mad mad mad mad

IMO, if they are bought up with young children that say mad for longer. Ours certainly has.

My dog was 2 in July and he's a fruit loop, but in a nice way iyswim. just goes a bit nuts sometimes. And he's a guide dog who is well-trained, well-disciplined, and well-behaved on lead/in harnass, but sometimes off lead he goes a bit mad. Doesn't help that ds winds him up, but that has improved a lot since we got him.

My dog sounds like yours, LadyTophamHat, she's as nutty as a fruitcake, full of bounce and energy. She's 4 in March. Our other dog, who's a year younger, is calmer. Still has his bonkers moments though. Perhaps it is something to do with the little people. My three are enough to send any otherwise calm and sane creature a bit loopy.
