House guineas

Well....I'm away at uni and missing my little pigs (and our sleepy little evening sessions, aww), and I found two Olga da Polgas in a charity shop today (20p each!) and I was just thinking.....do any of you have house guinea pigs? I would love to have a little group of them in a room with all kinds of "furniture" and little paths. It wouldn't be so hard to do, in a box room with awkward angles....tack a tarp over the floor and set newspaper down and clean it out like normally. Maybe there could even be a little tunnel through the wall to the garden!

another olga da polga fan, yea! i love olga stories and i'm mad about g.piggies! that is such a lovely idead about the indoor piggies set up love it! we have piggies indoors two are mother and daughter, they are elderly there is also a little girl who was poorly came in for treatment last oct and never went outside again and also a cheeky lad who was in the same situation. you might like to look at the 'guinea pig forum' it is a great web site for all things piggy related, chat, photos etc. i have actually got a tri colour g pig and she is called olga but she doesn't tell tall tales well not that i'm aware of !

Love guinea pigs - we have two: Ruby and Ratty. Bought them for our DS but became besotted ourselves. I think they make great pets!

We're getting guineas for ds's birthday next month they're gonna be mine really and I'm soooooo excited! They will live indoors, I was going to buy c&c cubes (google c and c guinea pig and you'll see what I mean) but have ended up getting a Midwest Habitat. C & C would be great for what you're thinking of.

I found so much info on the guinea pig forum it is brilliant. There's tons of c & c pictures on there too.

Mine were usually house guineas (relocated to the shed in summer once the DC's arrived, but inside in winter).

They are such cute company. Happy to pootle about on their own (as long as you have a pair) but equally happy devouring celery on my lap on the sofa.
