Okay, this is a desperate plea, my 'friend' says the smell of her piggies is making her sick and they need to be rehomed, she has asked at pets at home but they have no room, she has asked on facebook. No one wants them. Thats all the trying she has done! She is now saying they are going to be released over the common tonight! SHIT! My DH will go balistic if i take in anymore pets....running total of about 25, various animals, lots of vet fees and high food bills as it is so i can understand...but they will be eaten by a fox in minutes.

2 male negelcted piggies about to go to their deaths. Would anyone like them??

Sad

Try a rescue or local charity (not RSPCA).

You friend sounds delightful.

take them and take them to the rsoca - if they were 2 gurls and in north east id have put them with my girls Sad

itsnicetobenice · 09/06/2011 17:11

sorry my typing is poo - why not the rspca rescue centre?

The RSPCA have a poor reputation and like to collect money rather than spend it on animals.

itsnicetobenice · 09/06/2011 17:20

fair enough but at least they wont be live bait for the foxes on the common.

scurryfunge · 09/06/2011 17:26

You are right about being bait for foxes and I perhaps shouldn't have mentioned my personal feelings about the RSPCA on this particular thread.

There will be several charities in your area OP if your friend has transport.

WorzselMummage · 09/06/2011 17:28

How many are there, what would they come with ETC ?

Have they been well handled ?

SenoritaViva · 09/06/2011 17:29

Would a local school be interested? (they are less so now due to health and safety)

WorzselMummage · 09/06/2011 17:29

I'm only in Cradley Heath, not far from you and i could need to speak to DH who will probably say no so don't get your hopes up too much.

BabyDubsEverywhere · 09/06/2011 17:29

Im having them dropped off here tonight....they have been in cupboard in a cage as they smell and she doesnt want to handle them to clean them out....Sad

I'll find them a home poor things

The local school has them already - i have them for all the bloody holidays! haha

They are in an indoor cage, i have no idea whats with them yet but will post when they get here. They were handled well when they first had them. They lost interest. They are male and about 18 months i think from memory.

Let me know what state they are in. I was only thinking about getting a couple yesterday. I know nothing of GP's but have had rabbits, rats, gerbils before so am not a complete novice.

onclefestere · 09/06/2011 17:34

I have pm'ed you. I'm in Walsall and DH is quite malleable and might say yes, Fingers crossed.

onclefestere · 09/06/2011 17:35

but Worzsel if your DH says yes I shall survive Grin so no worries.

WorzselMummage · 09/06/2011 17:36

Oi I was first in the queue Wink

onclefestere · 09/06/2011 17:37

Hehe
I don't mind at all. If you can take them that would be equally fab - it's lucky we are here. Guinea pigs are top pets!!

Guinea pigs do NOT smell and are the loveliest pets you can ever imagine. I hope a kind mumsnetter rescues these and I would simply dump any friend of mine who behaved so poorly towards an animal.

To those of you who are tempted, have a look at a few guinea pig appreciation vids on You Tube - you will soon be won over.

Hang on, let me find one ...

BabyDubsEverywhere · 09/06/2011 17:45

haha, its all kicking off on a piggie thread - love it, I have just replied to you onclefestere on PM, but your right Worzel was first, Let me know on here who wins their DH round first :)

Thankyou for the support, it really turned my stomach.

I saw a video of some people who'd trained their pig to jump over books!! Pigs are the best Grin
