It doesn’t cost anything.

Too many lies spread by the anti vaxer growing population.
Our children (who are vaccinated) are only 95% covered after the first vaccine!
France and Germany have decided to make this vaccine mandatory, so should the U.K.

The anti vaxer population are being heard because their shouting louder, it’s time the pro vaccination population get heard.

No, I believe in bodily autonomy.
I don't understand your comment about only being 95% covered after one injection. Making it compulsory won't help....

No. DS had single jabs. My right to choose.

Hell no. I don’t believe we should be forced into doing anything.

No, my ds also had single jabs the first time. There is another option, which the petition totally ignores.

Absolutely not. The state should never have the right to force or even coerce people into having a medical procedure. You really don't have to look too far to find examples of 'best medical practice' turning out to do unexpected harms (said as someone whose children have actually had the MMR).

I would sign it if there was an option for parents to choose whether they have the single or the combined. But to FORCE people to have the combined?! Not a chance.

I don't believe the period will go through. But it will highlight the issue.

I would love to see a blend of the Australian and American system where benefits and nursery admission are dependent on a complete vaccine schedule.

I’m all for single jabs. My understanding was that these were not offered due to cost and concerns that people would not keep returning for each dose.

A choice would be preferable.

Hi Ursula, I've just ammeded the petition to include the option of the single vaccination.
However you are right when I looked into this option, it's something you have to pay for x

Anti vaxers (declining all forms of vaccinations), take one look at this baby in the link or the picture below and tell me how you don't consider your inactions to be morally reprehensible when this is what it causes.
Makes my blood boil that babies who are so vulnerable to any infection fight for their lives because anti vaxers are so sure what they have read on the internet is gospel!

Vaccines are not 100% safe. Your child could be injured by the vaccine (it happens) How's about you look at the picture of this poor child? Actually makes my blood boil that ardent pro vaxxers happily ignore the fact that there can be side effects.

Listen. The fact is most children are fine. Mine actually are mostly vaccinated. But you cannot force things to be mandatory unless you fancy living in a dictatorship.

And less of the emotional crap. Most anti vaxxers were once pro vaxxers. Worth bearing in mind!

Oh I would also say. Are you also going to make it mandatory for every adult to be tested to check their immunity status? Vaccines wear off. Only those that have actually had measles (like myself) are definitely safe from it.

I just find it somewhat odd that you're wanting to insist that every child in the UK is vaccinated but you're happy for millions of unvaccinated adults to wander about.

And at what point in what I wrote did I say this only related to children.
I think if you stopped jumping to the defence of your inactions, you would have read "all unvaccinated children and adults"

I'm not here to argue with anti vaxers as much as I won't waste my time arguing with someone who believes the world is flat.
If you don't want to sign it, don't.

It's already an option the health secretary is looking at and as Germany and France have already put the mandatory action into place then it might be something you may just have to get used to.
