Am I being unreasonable to ask you if you'd like to sign this...

petition.parliament.uk/signatures/23785606/verify?token=dbyOqljXAMVtqvsbtqQN

Asking the government to start consultation about the future of the children's centres. To prevent further cuts etc.

I know they aren't everyone's cup of tea but for those that use them they can be a lifeline.

Thanks Smile

Thank you for posting. I work in a children's centre and I really love my job. In my rural community it is so important for some to come to our groups and courses. We also have midwives doing clinic's there and community groups also use the centre for adult learning/job centre. We don't know how the cuts will effect us yet but hoping that they keep some of the most well used children's centres open.

I've signed. We love our local centre but they are really beginning to struggle with lack of funding

Hi OP - we're just going to move this over to Petitions.

Thank you both. I'm just a mum that uses the centres, but I can see a lot of the good they do. So many parents going not just for the benefit of their child but also themselves and their whole family. Sometimes it is the only adult company they might get in the day, and especially if you are in a new area etc, that can be lovely.

Ours runs courses for the parents too to help th get back into work. It's brilliant if that is the little boost you need.
