Fed up 12 year-old starts petition against reformed exams

12 year-old Jack Cole will be in the first cohort of pupils to take the reformed GCSEs. He's concerned teachers will be under-prepared and he (and his peers) are being used as guinea pigs. He'll start preparing for these exams in September 2015. That's not long enough for proper trialling, evaluation or teacher training and preparation.

He's started a petition. 100,000 signatures would mean it would have to be discussed in Parliament:

No, they only ever have to consider it, there are no guarantees.

have suggested that my children and their gigantic networks of FB friends sign ....
as they are being stymied by this zealot too (controlled assessments deemed worthless AFTER they have been completed hmm)
