Handwriting Practise or Handwriting Practice books?

At the school in which I work, we send home books for the children to practise their handwriting in. The books are labelled Handwriting Practise. I 'm thinking it should be Practice. I think this because although children are using the books to practise their handwriting, the word is not being used as a verb, ie is it not the practice of handwriting?

I'm confused, please help!

Practice, most definitely. It's the noun, the 'thing' that the children do in their books, therefore practice.

US spelling is practise though.....could they be American books?

US tend to use practice for both. Practise is a verb.
