Why does "issues" seem to be spelled this way so frequently? I have never seen it spelled "ishoos" anywhere but Mumsnet and only recently noticed it here.

it's ironic doncha know...
<chortles unnecessarily at both use of 'irony' in this context, and irrational spelling of 'don't you'....>

tis <snort at another annoying mnism> fairly common in sn-land. most of our kids have 'ishoos' in a vain attempt to make light of otherwise inescapable and exhausting situations - shorthand for just about anything under the sun from smearing to learning diffs, to, well, you name it. 'ishoos' just about wraps it all up nicely and makes it seem less all-encompassing.
