who came to stay at the start of this week.

"As well as seeing you two, of course, it was a pleasure to see how [DD] continues to develop. I don't recall her making a single grammatical error during the time we were with you."

My two year old daughter is beautiful, chatty, fun and cuddly. But best of all, it seems, she is grammatically correct.

My grandfather declared, having met my baby daughter: "She is, of course, intellectually very advanced. I can see much of myself in her".

Hester, I am sure that;s what my father thinks too, but he hasn't got round to saying it yet.

sbs. It's a lost cause. I've ended up a pedant and married another one - but can I stop this misery being handed down the generations?
