The National Trust

OK, I'm not really writing about The National Trust but it's an example of the problem I've got:

Let's say my sentence is "I work for The National Trust. At The Trust I do x y and z".

In that second bit is the "t" of "the" upper or lower case?

"Here at The Trust we look after old buildings"

or

"Here at the Trust we look after old buildings"

I would say the Trust.

It's 'the Trust', definitely.

Whoops! Sorry, should have come back to say thank you. That's fairly conclusive.

Botbot, oooh, I'd love to actually work for the National Trust. Am quite envious.

When I worked for the National Trust, it was Trust! But most newspapers would refer to it as trust

I work in a hospital and if I refer to the powers-that-be I write 'the Trust' not 'The Trust'. My manager is a great one for capitalising in odd places so I try to proof-read things before he sends them out.
