I thought that the correct spelling is "vinegar"?
Did MNHQ make a spelling mistake?

Miaou Fri 12-Sep-08 11:37:14

Yes you are right grin

Quick, report it!!!

FabioBigBangBlackHole Fri 12-Sep-08 11:37:42

Well spotted.

Have reported but I feel like a right creep! grin

Eeek <MNHQ hangs head in shame>
Thanks for flagging it up, although we would've noticed - honestly!

onepieceoflollipop Fri 12-Sep-08 13:59:03

Thanks BALD and Fabio for the award. grin

Incidentally here is something else that will make you cringe; dd1 brought a leaflet home from Reception.

I can barely bring myself to type it tbh.

"We also offer Children's Kids Party's; these party's offer you as the parent to completely relax and enjoy the fun"

<<averts eyes>> Someone make me a cup of tea.

OPOL - fantastic! Sometimes these things do make me laugh rather than rant or cry, and that's a great example. I try to imagine the person who wrote it, and usually end up smiling, thinking that they are evidently Japanese or similar.

MargeSimpsonMyAlterEgo Fri 12-Sep-08 20:45:13

BTW no offence intended to anyone Japanese - just that translations are difficult... you know what I mean blush

onepieceoflollipop Fri 12-Sep-08 21:40:57

Marge tbh I often wonder (in the case of professionally printed leaflets) why no one at the printers seem to notice how awful the typos and grammatical/spelling errors are. Surely that would be part of the service to have a little look at these things, and advise the customer accordingly?

BoysAreLikeDogs Fri 12-Sep-08 21:42:28

Urrrrgh at the leaflet.

I wonder too, about whether these companies offer proofreading as part of their service.

onepieceoflollipop Fri 12-Sep-08 21:48:39

I think it reflects badly on the printing company tbh. As if they can't be bothered to offer a fully professional service.

If I had a printing company I would refuse to print errors, if the company insisted I would politely decline the job. grin

Btw I always feel very anxious about posting in this topic, find some of you a bit scary wink.

I only posted today because I knew I was right!
