Surely it's PLAYGROUND not PARK??

I know so many people who, when we're wandering around in the park, say to the kids "Do you want to go the park?" angry

I love it when dd replies to them innocently and confusedly "We're already in the park!"

Mmm, it annoys me too. Playgrounds have play equipment in them and are for children, parks don't have play equipment in them and are for the general public to enjoy. Usually they have benches, trees and flower beds.

I'm guilty.
We call the playgrounds on our estate parks. They are not at all, they have play equipment and no grass whatsoever!
