Argh! I keep getting up to 48/49 and then dropping down to 45 - and each time it'sbecause I've changed my mind about a word.

I agree with Roman Candles, though, it's tantalising to get to 49 and then suddenly drop to 45, normally because you didn't go with your gut instinct on what a word should mean.

Wierdly, above 46, I only tend to formally 'know' the definition of one word in 10, but somehow gut instinct and a bit of sensible guess work brings up the right answer more often than not. I'm obviously very right brained today...

This is really annoying me! I still can't get above 49.

And I dispute some of the definitions and spellings - but I get too caught up in it to stop and look the words up in a dictionary.

I love this. I have now replaced my mumsnet addiction - as have some other mumsnetters if you take a look at the totals donated in the last couple of days!

I am only a 43 though, so probably should not be in pedants' corner at all.
