Oh FFS! Where did you see this abomination?

That's horrific. I used to love Soreen Sad.

How does something like that happen? It's not down to a greengrocer with a stick of chalk - that package was presumably designed, approved and manufactured.

This leads me to suspect that it was deliberate - free advertising as internet pedants post, point and laugh... and think, mmm but they do look yummy...Grin

Dreadful. How did this get past the marketing department and a graphic design agency?

Errol, you cynic! Grin I suspect you're right, but I couldn't resist posting it here anyway.

Now I'm going to have to eat them all so that I can dispose of the packaging.

Another reason, if one were needed, to avoid Soreen.

(Although I expect I'll end up buying it as Dh and ds love it)

Emz, I bought them in Waitrose! Shock

I'm just wondering why on earth they persisted with this name. I can just imagine the conversation around the table,

Soreen head-honcho "So we're all agreed on the name Toast Me?"

Ex-greengrocer employee "But there are 4 a pack, so it just looks like Toast Mes. Let's put an apostrophe in."

Someone with vague grasp of grammar but still confused about how to actually write this abomination of a name "Plurals don't need apostrophes. How about making the s smaller and putting the rest in capitals?"

Head-honcho "Let's do both, just to make sure. Who gives a fuck if it's grammatically correct?"

:o
They didn't bloody have any in Sainsbury's

My dd's homework included the use of an apostrophe to denote a plural. "Write about the [noun]'s and why they might have become extinct ". I just wanted to share that with the group.

Sorry, my eye's just vomited.

I am mulling over my response. Any suggestions?

They taste absolutely horrid as well. Grin

I would just put a red ring around the offending apostrophe, Yawnyawnallday. Assuming it will be returned to the same teacher for marking, of course.

Garth, I did originally put a trigger warning in the title but I removed it as I thought some humourless twat would come on here and tell me off for it!
