It's more a typing thing than a spelling thing though - I remember reading an article ages ago about the mistakes our fingers make with double letters even though we know how to spell. I, for example, cannot type well without checking - it most often comes out as 'weel'.

I agree. I might go further than wrapping duct tape around someone's hands if I was sure there would be no consequences grin

OP - do you mean Duck Tape (which is an American brand of gaffer tape) as opposed to 'duct tape' which just doesn't exist ?

Duct tape is good for verucca, according to an earlier post. What is it anyway? <digresses>

MiniMonty I love it when I discover that I have been getting something wrong and am corrected... I am a true pedant .... but in this case, I think duct tape DOES exist :
