Not 'clicky' ! Why on earth would it be clicky? How does anyone make this mistake?

TallulahBetty Sat 12-Oct-13 13:17:44

Because people pronounce "clique" as "click"?

A few random Americans might say click.
But it's definitely not British.

Because they're fick.

Yes you can pronounce it clicky if you want but why type something which makes you look so dense?

What I meant was, some people say "click" so they assume you spell it like that too, maybe?

I'm with you, OP. Only recently I read through more than 20 pages in a thread because the OP had written 'clicky' and I felt compelled to correct; not without RTFT, of course. Some fucker had corrected on the penultimate page. No one comiserated when I mentioned it or even congratulated me on my impeccable thread manners. It's annoying how underappreciated pedantry is.

It's depressing how paying attention to SPAG is seen as being sad angry
