I wonder how many members of the public will be unaware of the significance of Savile Row and will be expecting a range of shell suits inspired by the controversy about a certain deceased DJ...

Well, yes, if you're one of those hyphen-orientated pedants who are punctuation-aware and like their mistake-avoiding style to be like that, but I'd go for "Inspired by Savile Row", personally. wink

Should it not be Savile Row-Inspired, to be completely correct?

M&S have a range of men's suits called 'Savile Row Inspired'. In the Westfield store they have large signs saying 'Savile Row Inspired', but by the men's changing rooms they have a series of signs stating how wonderful this range is - but with the spelling 'Saville Row'. I pointed this out to a young assistant who said he hadn't noticed. I said I expect better of M&S - the conversation was very good natured but I have emailed M&S to point out the discrepancy.

Good to get that off my chest.
