In preparation of the leaflets for a funeral which would be the correct wording:
"A Service of Celebration for the Life of..." or
"A Service of Celebration of the Life of..."

Of definitely, for would I think imply he/she was still alive (but would still sound weird to me!)

I"d probably ditch the words "service of" though as the two ofs make it sound awkward.

I think it's 'of' but then there's a lot of 'of's in there. I don't know if there's a way you have to word it like a protocol or something but could you say 'a service to celebrate the life of...'?
