I read back over one of my recent posts, and realised instead of 'toerags' I'd typed 'toerages'.

I'm now picturing Very Angry Feet Hmm

Come and confess your sins against pedantry here...

Yesterday I sent an email with a large attachment that had to be split into two parts to get through the receiver's fire wall. I helpfully labelled my emails Part 1 of 1 and Part 2 of 2 Blush

My most shameful moment ever was sending an application for a proofreading job, where I boasted about my 'attention to detail' but left a typo in the covering email.

I still cringe thinking about that Blush

I work in an industry where attention to detail is prized very highly, and it is listed as one of the requirements for doing the job in our adverts for graduate trainees. It never ceases to amaze me the number of CVs I see that say "I have excellent attention to detail" followed immediately by a typo!

I'm wondering whether it was subconscious self-sabotage, as the job I was applying for at the time was night shift work doing proofreading in a huge legal firm. I think I didn't really want the job Wink

More and more often, I catch myself typing and even texting "too", when I mean "to"! It infuriates me in myself, because it annoys me in others.

The fact that I have to tap a key many times to get the second "o" in a text is even more disburbing. Why??

Does that admission of crime make anyone feel better?
