Inspire me please - I personally don't get along with party games much rather do arts/crafts, music, let them run around with balloons type party..

Any help? Getting our local village hall so probably 10 children +?

I did exactly this sort of party for my DDs 4th birthday.

Decorations - I bought a couple of cheap pop-up castles on ebay and some castle scene setters to try and make the hall feel a bit fuller and more festive. Also hired a helium bottle and did lots of helium filled balloons.

Told everyone that DD would be dressing as a princess, so their DCs were welcome to wear their fancy dress outfits too.

I had Granny manning a craft table where the girls (they were all girls) made and decorated tiaras a bit like this

Most of the time they all just hared around - but we did have a round of pass the parcel and musical statues.

I made a huge castle-shaped cake (rather chuffed with it though I say so myself).

Everyone seemed to have a lovely time.

We usually do a craft activity at parties - if only to get a bit of quiet! Sparkly crowns? Themed games: musical thrones would easy.
Our favourite is stealing the dragons treasure - like grandma's footsteps: adult sits with pile of chocolate coins/sweets being the sleepy dragon & kids creep up to steal some. If they are spotted moving - get sent back to start. Ours just rush the adult & grab all the loot & love it!
Hide suitable pictures cut from wrapping paper & get kids to collect a set/as many as possible/a pair?

Pin the crown on the prince/ss or tail on dragon.

Hope this helps & happy birthday to your little one.

We did this for DS2 last year. When they arruved I gave them all a cut out shield and the first thing they did was decorate it for themselves. You could also buy plain party bags and they could decoate them?

We did "Pin the flag in the castle"
