When can i make the sandwiches?

Hi ds is having his party tomorrow at 11am, if I make the ham sandwiches and jam sandwiches this afternoon and store them in the fridge in a lunchbox will they be ok for the party? TIA

Personally, I'd do them tomorrow if possible. It doesn't take long at all to make them if you do it production line style. The crustless bread is fab if you were planning on cutting off crusts.

I wonder if you could get away with buttering the bread today so you just have to put the fillings in tomorrow? Or would the buttered sides just stick together overnight?

eeew no! Sarnies are rubbish if made too early!

My vote is for making them first thing in the morning and wrapping well. Bread should not be stored in the fridge.

I have the same problem with the rolls I am making this morning. Have 44 of them to make which I am going to start in a minute. I have a cool bag that has been in the freezer overnight so will put them in there. They have fillings like tuna, egg and ham and they will be eaten in 4 hours time so not sure if it is ok to nto put them in the fridge at all before I leave at 10.30.....
