Wedding message book - ideas needed

A good friend is getting married soon, her sister is putting together a message book from family/friends to give to her on the morning of the wedding. She wants friends to think creatively and email her photos, ditties, recipes, poems etc to go in the book.

I am normally a creative type but lack of sleep appears to be interferring with my creative juices, so I am in desperate need of some MN help!

I have photos sorted but I would have liked to have added something else. Have tried googling and come up with nothing short of crap or naff.

Any ideas, funny or serious that I could possibly use?

Erm a list of what married people need to know funny or serious? I once saw a recipe for 'the perfect marriage' that was quite funny, you could probably google it.

TBH, the best marriage advice I've been given was just after mine. You should give 60% of yourself and expect 40% back. That way you'll always be happy.

Sorry I've not been more help, hopefully someone else will come along soon.

Acrostic poem of bride and grooms' names

eg.
J jolly
A artistic
N naughty
E exciting

M muscly
A amiable
T trendy
T troublesome

Otherwise, make up a poem ... There was a young lady called...(ideas tend to come more easily after a glass of wine or two)

Thankyou for your suggestions, I did find the recipe for the perfect marriage, not quite what I was looking for, but funny!

I'm now liking the idea of writing the ingredients for happiness/perfect marriage in the style of a recipe.

I've found these...

Recipe for a Happy Marriage Poem I

Author Unknown
Mix one cup of overflowing love with faith in God and each other.
Never let bitter spirits brew overnight.
Sweeten with laughter and understanding.
Add daily prayer to hold these ingredients together.
Sift with respect and work towards a common dream.
Sprinkle generously with hugs and kisses.
Serve daily with a loving heart.
YIELD: Serves one happy marriage.

Recipe for a Happy Marriage Poem II

Author Unknown
1 Cup of Consideration
2 Cups of Praise
1 Small Pinch of In-Laws
1 Tablespoon of Contentment
1 Gallon of Patience
2 Tablespoons of Flattery
1 Cup of Encouragement
A dash of Faith and Trust

Take love and loyalty and mix thoroughly with faith. Blend in kindness and understanding. Add friendship and suprise, stirring well. Fold in passion alternating with an abundance of laughter. Bake with sunshine and rainbows. Garnish with forgiveness and thoughtfullness. Serve daily with generous helpings.
YIELD: Serves 2 for a lifetime.

...but I think they need some tweaking.. I particuarly like the second one with ingredient 'a small pinch of the inlaws' but I think you need more of a dollop of faith and trust than a dash!? Married Mnetters tell me the perfect recipe as i'm not yet married!
