I my 6 year couldnt decide what she wanted for her birthday so we got her a set of 3 storage boxes from next and filled one with girlies things, one with stationary and one with a couple of board games

A football strip with name and age on the back (she is a tomboy!)
Books
An exciting day out - to a museum, farm or theme park
An overnight bag for her first sleepover
Club penguin voucher
Classic boardgames like Junior Monopoly

My dd's birthday was today, and her favourite presents were :

a keyboard (not too complicated, £25 from Toys R Us)
playmobil vet set
hama beads
friendship bracelet kit
Lego Belville
Tinkerbell diary and pen set
Teddy Bear Factory

HTH!

I have just got my dd a playmobil vet set too!
She is quite a young in her ways nearly 6, so she does not really like HSM and Hannah Montana, but most of her peers do.
She also likes Littlest Pet Shop, and would probably like a game for her ds.

Strangely, my soon to be 6yo dd wants another baby Annabell as a sister to the one she already has! I will heed the advice of a friend who says give them what they want even if it only makes them happy for an hour.

Will probably get her something Charlie and Lola as well.
