Do you need sandwiches at a party????

Have dd(6) party on Saturday and am in a panic as I have so much to do.

It's 2-4pm, so was thinking I'd have mini sausages, mini sausage rolls, crisps, fruit, cucumber etc, mini rolls, party rings and fairy cakes.

Can I get away without making sandwiches, as they always seem to be left anyway?! Any ideas for easy alternatives? Breadsticks?

Thank you!

That sounds plenty! I have to say I am always loathe to do sandwiches also BUT when I have done they do seem to be eaten. (2-4 is snack time really though, so I wouldn't bother.)

Like you, I just tend to keep things small and bite sized, so
mini breadsticks and mini rice cakes are good.

I also do little bowls of popcorn, jelly beans, flying saucers - easy to eat small sweet things that counteract the bready fairycakes and mini rolls.

How about some mini babybel cheese? Popular for peeling, if not eating!

Had forgotten babybels - yum!

I'm figuring the children will have had lunch and not be ready for a proper tea, so snacky bits rather than a meal. Dd always seems to eat dinner at home after a party anyway
