HH has it - Chez Bruce.
The best best best restaurant in the whole universe with the yummiest food, great atmosphere, friendliest sommelier....

Lovely lovely.

Can I come?

Locanda Locatelli - lovely food but v ££ and you may have trouble getting a table at such short notice! Club Gascon lovely too but rather rich food. Top floor of Smiths used to be lovely but can be really corporate in the evenings during the week (big parties of suits in there - probably not what you're aiming for) but just round the corner Malmaison Hotel's restaurant is quite nice too.

V - wish I was going out for a romantic meal!

P.s. if you go for Andrew Edmunds (which I also love but can be a bit hot and stuffy on hot sunny days) make sure you get a table on the ground floor - the basement floor isnt as cozy and romantic.
